At Interess Tours all activities and experiences have been purposely chosen by our cultural interpreters to enhance the tour and your travel experience. In fact, only an insider can create itineraries like ours, drawing on local knowledge and personal relationships.

Our in-country cultural interpreters are there to guide you on the whole trip, in English. They are there to support with language, provide insider knowledge and answer questions so you can make the most your trip. You have opportunities to delve deeper and learn about the culture through interactions with local experts and artisans. Tips and taxes are included in the tour fee.

A variety of delicious Austrian cuisine is included in the tour for you to learn about the culture. Our cultural intrepreter will be able to provide more insight on regional dishes and more. The restaurants included in the tour are authentically Austrian and not tourist traps.

Each hotel provides a lovely breakfast buffet with a variety of options for you to get your day started. Lunches and dinners (including one drink) are included, as noted in the itinerary.

Here is a list of what travelers are responsible for when participating in an Interess Tour:

Airfare or transportation to Vienna, Austria.

Travel insurance (cancellation and medical), any fees related to medical needs/emergencies or hospital visits, a valid visa (if required by the Austrian government to enter the country), meals, drinks or transportation not specified in the daily itinerary, snacks, souvenirs and personal incidentals.

No! Interess Tours does not believe in single supplement charges. Everyone receives a private hotel room unless a shared room is requested. We welcome all curious, culturally minded travelers.

Each tour has a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 14 travelers. We keep the group small to provide a more immersive experience.

The cultural interpreter is an in-country resident who accompanies travelers on the tour, provides cultural context to help with a deeper understanding of the culture, assists with language and communication and enhances the travelers' experiences with background knowledge.

The Gardens and Castles tour is designed for travelers, ages 21 or older, who are interested in spending seven nights and eight days exploring and endulging themselves in Austrian culture. The activity level of this tour is level 2 moderate and involves daily walking.

If you have dietary restrictions or food allergies, please tell us in your booking form so that we can accommodate them and help you navigate menus.

Generally, Austrian restaurants include vegetarian options, however, we cannot guarantee vegan options or that meals and activities will be free from allergens. Travelers with severe allergies should bring medication and take appropriate precautions.

The tour has a Level 2 moderate activity level rating. The tour includes daily walking, often on uneven surfaces, inclines and slopes, as well as city walking and public transportation.

Travelers are responsible for ensuring they are physically able to participate in the daily activities of the tour. Health conditions must be disclosed on the booking form. We reserve the right to decline a booking if the condition or limitations may affect the ability to safely participate in the tour.
